Access
The Coastguard Cottages are reached through a private, locked National Trust gate and approximately half a mile of country track through Peppercombe Valley. The track is rough, uneven and bumpy in places. Low-clearance vehicles may not be suitable.
Please note that Peppercombe is intentionally rural and unspoilt. Access is via a narrow, uneven track and the approach to the cottage includes rugged, uneven paths and steps. There is minimal external lighting, so we recommend bringing torches for arrivals after dark.
Internet
There is little to no mobile signal within the valley, but Starlink Wi-Fi is provided at the cottage. Please be aware in rural Devon the internet may not be as reliable and as fast as your home broadband.
Parking
Parking is provided close to the cottages. Please be aware that the cottages are reached on foot via uneven pathways with steps, in keeping with their historic and rural setting, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
Area
From the cottages, you can explore Peppercombe Valley on foot, with beautiful countryside and coastal walks straight from the doorstep, including the South West Coast Path and Peppercombe Beach. There is a pub at the top of the track, within walking distance from the cottages.
Pets
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The shared gardens are not fully enclosed, so dogs should be kept on a lead when outside.
