Access

Combe Cottage is reached through a private, locked National Trust gate and approximately half a mile of country track through Peppercombe Valley. The track is rough, uneven and bumpy in places. Low-clearance vehicles may not be suitable.

Please note that Peppercombe is intentionally rural and unspoilt. Access is via a narrow, uneven track and the approach to the cottage includes rugged, uneven paths and steps. There is minimal external lighting, so we recommend bringing torches for arrivals after dark.

Please be aware that the staircase to the first floor is steep and winding, with shallow, uneven steps. Extra care should be taken, particularly with young children. Due to the staircase and the steep, uneven path between the parking area and cottage, Combe may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Internet

There is little to no mobile signal within the valley, but Starlink Wi-Fi is provided at the cottage. Please be aware in rural Devon the internet may not be as reliable and as fast as your home broadband.

Parking

Parking is provided, but please be aware that Combe Cottage is reached on foot via an uneven steep path, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Area

You can explore Peppercombe Valley on foot, with beautiful countryside and coastal walks straight from the doorstep, including the South West Coast Path and Peppercombe Beach. There is a pub at the top of the track, within walking distance from the cottage.

Pets

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The garden is not fully enclosed, so dogs should be kept on a lead/under close control when outside.
